+ - Which type of driver's licence am I required to have?

A valid driver's licence is required and in certain cases an International Driving Permit may be required.
After you've found a vehicle on your desired dates, you can review the provider's Rental Conditions for additional details.
When travelling with an International Driving License, you must also bring your home country's driver's licence.
Neither a scanned copy of the licence nor a smartphone scan will be approved.

+ - I do not have a credit card. Can I rent a car?

Unfortunately, this is often impossible. Most of the rental companies allow only credit cards to safeguard their financial interests.
However, in some cases companies accept debit cards for payment and deposit if you buy the rental company's full insurance.
This details can be found in the Rental Conditions.

+ - Is there a minimum driving age?

Yes, you must be at least 21 years old to rent a car.

If you are between the ages of 21 and 24, you will be charged a 'Young Renter Fee.'
The average cost per day is about $25.00, although this will vary depending on the rental location.

+ - Cancellation and modification of reservations

Cancellation or changing of conditions for the majority of cars and rental companies:

In almost all cases, you will receive a full refund if you cancel your reservation at least 24 hours prior to pick-up (in some cases, 48 hours is required).

In nearly all cases, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance (or 48 hours in some cases), you will get a full refund minus an administration fee.


Cancellation policy for optional insurance coverage:

If you paid extra insurance for your car rental, the policy will immediately expire if you cancel the reservation.
Check the termination clause in the terms of your insurance product to see if you are eligible for a refund.

+ - What is the procedure for paying for optional equipment?

Any optional equipment must be paid for when you pick up the vehicle.
The exact cost of optional equipment will be displayed on your voucher if it is added on our website.

+ - Why haven't I got confirmation of my reservation?

After you make a reservation on our web, you will receive an email with a voucher.

There are a few things you can do if your booking status says "verified" but you haven't got a confirmation email from us.
Refresh and double-check your inbox first. Check your spam folder if the confirmation email hasn't arrived yet. If you are still unable to find your booking confirmation email after these steps, please contact our Customer Support team; we will gladly assist you.

+ - What is the shortest time of car rental?

You can rent a car for as little as an hour, or even less than a day. The rental fee, however, would be the same as for a full day.

+ - How can I locate the airport rental office?

Simply follow the signs for "Car Rental" in the airport. The pick-up details will be detailed on your voucher.

If your voucher says "Free Shuttle Bus," the company will normally have a free shuttle taxi to take you to the office (usually 5-10 minutes from the terminal). In addition, the airport's information desk is always available to assist you.

Payment

+ - Deposit

For security purposes, the majority of rental companies need a deposit.
The deductible on your rental car will be protected if you buy full coverage with Luckycar.

The amount of the deposit is determined by the type of car you choose, the country you drive to, and the rental company you choose.

+ - What payment methods are accepted?

When making an online reservation for a rental car, you can pay with Mastercard or Visa credit or debit cards.
When picking up your vehicle, however, a credit card may be required. Under the section "Payment form," the requirement will be specified in the rental conditions.

Picking up the car

+ - When picking up a car, what kinds of documents should I bring?

You'll need a credit card in the name of the lead driver with enough funds to cover the excess and the driver's licence.
In certain cases, you'll need a passport and an international driver's licence.

+ - What is the fuel policy?

Different car companies have different fuel policy. The fuel policy will always be shown in a car rental conditions.

Some of the most common fuel policies are:

Full to Full: When you pick up the vehicle, the fuel tank will be full, and the company will expect you to return it with a full tank.

Same to Same: When you pick up the vehicle, it will have a certain amount of fuel in the tank, and you will be expected to return it with the same amount of fuel.

Full to Empty: You must pay for a full tank of gas before picking up the car with this option.
If you return the car with unused fuel in the tank, you may or may not be reimbursed - it depends on the car rental company.

+ - After-hours pick-up and return

If you want to pick up or return the car outside of working hours, indicate the desired dates and times in the search form. By doing so, you will only be shown cars that can be picked up / returned outside of working hours. In some cases, there may be an additional service charge for this, which will be indicated at the time of booking and will need to be paid at the office upon checkout and pick-up.

You can drop off the car by yourself - you just need to park the vehicle and leave the keys in the box provided by the car rental company. For more information, contact the car rental supplier directly, as different companies have different return processes. 

+ - Brand and model of car

According to the booking terms, the car's colour and fuel type are not guaranteed.
The model is stated for informational purposes during the car reservation confirmation process.
If, however, the preferred car is not accessible, the car rental company will have an equivalent vehicle.

During rental

+ - Is it possible to cross borders with my rented car?

Some rental companies allow you to cross international borders with your vehicle, while others do not.
Checking the rental terms for each car is the best way to find out.
Simply click on the link that says "Rental Conditions."

+ - Is it possible to drop off a car at a different location?

Yes, it's possible. 

You have an option of picking up your car in one city and returning it to a different city.
Also you have an option of picking up your car in one country and returning it to another.

There is a one-way rental fee for any of these options.
Make sure you know how much it would cost you to drop off your car at a different place.
The exact price will differ from one car to another.

+ - What do I do if my car breaks down or I'm in an accident?

If your rental car breaks down, you can call the rental company's breakdown assistance service.
You can also contact the car rental company to learn how your vehicle will be replaced.
If there has been an accident and someone requires medical attention, the first thing to do is call 911.
After that, call the police and then your car rental company.

+ - Penalties for not returning the car on time

Additional payments can apply if you return the rental car after the contractual deadline. An extra hourly rate may be added if there is a delay of 1 to 2 hours. If you are late by more than 12 hours, you will be charged the maximum daily rate. Additional penalties can occur in certain cases. Notify the rental company of any anticipated delays to prevent fines.

+ - Changing the rental period after the car is picked up

If you need an extension of your rental period, simply contact the rental company and discuss on the number of additional days you need. Generally, there will be no problems with this.

You may also return the car before the pre-arranged date in your voucher, but in this situation, the rental contract normally does not allow for refunds for unused days.

+ - What is my rental's mileage policy?

The mileage policy is always mentioned in the vehicle description. When you browse for a rental on our website, you'll come across these. Simply click on the Rental Conditions for more details.
