Norway Sights

Norway is one of the least populated countries in the world, bordering mainly with Sweden, Finland and Russia. The vast majority of tourists associate Norway primarily with picturesque fjords that create exceptionally breathtaking landscapes. Between them you can meet colorful cities with interesting streets and friendly people. This country is definitely charming at first sight, so it's no surprise that Norway has become an increasingly popular tourist destination for some time now.

Many tourists prefer to use car rental services in Norway. The average cost of renting a car in Oslo is 18 euros per day, at Bergen Airport the cost of renting a car is the same as in the city, although renting at the airport is usually cheaper.

Cities

The famous "gateway to the Kingdom of the Fjords" is Bergen, one of the oldest cities in Norway. Currently, Bergen is a famous and valuable cultural center of the whole country, as well as the second largest city in Norway. Many tourist attractions can be found in this city, including historic churches, castles and royal residences. In Bergen, it is also worth visiting the magnificent aquarium, which contains one of the largest collections of marine fauna on the entire European continent. The attraction of this Norwegian city is also a funicular.

Norway is visited mainly because of Oslo, which has been the capital of the Kingdom of Norway since the 13th century. The city has many impressive monuments, including the Royal Palace, the National Gallery, the Town Hall, historic tenements and many other architectural structures. Oslo is also located on the so-called Oslo Fjord, which offers a magnificent view.

Nature

Nature is a very important element of the whole country, so tourists should be recommended very interesting Norwegian national hiking trails. The routes usually pass through the most interesting parts of the road, so they pass along the fjords, coasts, between waterfalls and picturesque mountains. Most of the trails, of course, are located away from the main transport routes, so these are places where you can relax away from the hustle and bustle.

The trails also feature elaborate lookouts with terraces and car parks. These places allow you to get even closer to Norwegian nature, admiring the picturesque surroundings in a naturally preserved state. So Norway is not only architectural monuments, but also huge spaces that will please everyone who decides to visit this Scandinavian corner of Europe at least once in their life.
