Popular US lakes

The United States is a relatively young state that is proud of its eventful history. The tallest skyscrapers, the brightest shows, the busiest streets - Uncle Sam is famous for this and much more. The picturesque lakes, which attract tourists with their landscapes and crystal clear waters, are also a source of pride for Americans.

For a comfortable trip, many tourists prefer to use car rental services in the United States. The average cost of renting a car in Los Angeles is 19 euros per day, in Seattle - 20 euros per day.

Americans built not only architectural masterpieces. They changed landscapes, trying to transform nature itself. Powell is an unnatural lake formed near a power plant located along the Colorado River. The reservoir is located far from densely populated objects, which does not contribute to the flow of tourists. It is this detachment that gives it a special flavor.

The water in the lake is bright blue, and together with the soft blue skies, it creates a beautiful landscape. Active guests can rent a scooter or a boat. It is also possible to rent a yacht and spend an unforgettable vacation on the water.

Tahoe Lake
is one of the most famous bodies of water in the United States. Its area reaches 495 square kilometers, and the maximum depth exceeds 500 meters. The bright sun shines here almost all year round, and the Sierra Nevada mountain range makes this place one of the most picturesque in America.
World famous ski resorts are located around the lake. It was in the vicinity of Tahoe in 1960 that the Olympic Games were held. The busiest area of the reservoir is the northern one, in which there are rich resorts and cities. The southern part is less lively: the infrastructure began to develop here only a few years ago.

Quiet lovers prefer the eastern regions of Tahoe: tourists rarely come here. Luxury connoisseurs prefer the western side, where the most luxurious hotels are located. In the lake area you can find entertainment for every taste: camping, boating, skiing, spas and much more.

The largest freshwater lake in the United States is Michigan, with an area of more than 57,700 square kilometers. This is an ideal place for beach lovers and avid fishermen. However, the tourist season does not last here all year round. For 4 months the lake is covered with ice.

The main advantages include white sand and the absence of corals, which are often found on the sea coasts. In the vicinity of Michigan, you can visit 30 recreation areas. Each beach has its own characteristics: Ohio Street Beach is located at the naval pier, Oak Street Beach is suitable for lovers of noisy parties, and Montrose Beach is the only beach that is allowed to visit with pets.

The lakes of the USA are the main attractions of the country, which amaze the imagination with a choice of entertainment and delight with their picturesque landscapes.
