Turkey. How to save money.

Summer is just around the corner, and thoughts of vacations are coming more and more often. And most of all I want the sea and the sun. So that there is enough for the year ahead. Turkey is a favorite summer destination for many Russian tourists. Warm, hospitable country with many magnificent beaches, distinctive culture and well-established tourist service compares favorably with the cost of the tours. Simple recommendations will allow you to relax in Turkey even more economically. Travelers prefer to use car rental services in Turkey. The average cost of renting a car at Istanbul airport is 19 euros per day, at Antalya airport the cost of renting is about the same.

1. Purchase of a voucher.
It is most profitable to buy "last minute" tours from different tour operators. Their price can be twenty - twenty five percent lower than usual. Do not think that the "hot" tour is of poor quality, just before the start of the tour there were unsold seats on the plane or hotel. In general, the reasons may be different, the main thing is that the tour is sold with a good discount. And if you are able to quickly pack up and find the right amount of money at any time, then you can take advantage of this opportunity. The early booking promotion offered by many tour operators is also an opportunity to save money. At the same time, the cost of the voucher can be reduced by thirty percent. Before purchasing a tour, study the offers of all tour operators working in the Turkish direction. Their prices may differ from each other. The date of arrival and time of stay in the country are also important. The cheapest stay is in May or October. Taking into account the considerable cost of an air flight, a ten - fourteen-day tour will be more profitable.

2. Hotel.
The pricing policy of many Turkish hotels is such that five-star hotels are not much different from three-star hotels. Therefore, there is no point in overpaying for a five-star hotel, especially since you will spend most of your time on the beach, on excursions or walking around the city. In Turkey, it is quite possible to find a cozy and clean three-star hotel that will provide you with everything you need for a reasonable fee. The cost of living in a hotel directly depends on its distance from the sea, the most expensive hotels are located on the first line. If you want to save money, you can consider the option of accommodation five or six hundred meters from the coast. You will simply walk more between the hotel and the beach. The only thing is that meals at the hotel must be organized on an "all inclusive" basis. Food in local cafes and restaurants will cost more.

3. Cash on the trip.
In Turkey, the dollar, euro and Turkish lira are used for settlements. It is best to bring money with you in dollars, having bought it in Russia at a more favorable rate than in Turkey. If you needed to exchange money on the spot, you should not do this from your hands. It is advisable to carry out all exchanges in some large bank.

4. Purchases.
We should also say about savings on purchases. In Turkish markets and in shops, bargaining is a common thing, and ignorance of the Turkish language is not a hindrance. With the correct conduct of the process, the price can be reduced by thirty to forty percent. Start with the lowest price. Smiling sweetly, gradually increase it. Don't show a strong interest in the product. Gradually, it will become a habit to bargain with sellers in Turkey. Each buyer, depending on his appearance, charm, ability and knowledge of at least a few phrases in Turkish, will buy goods at different prices. However, bargaining is also an opportunity to save money while vacationing in Turkey.

It is more profitable to buy Turkish goods not in shops located near hotels, but in ordinary cities, where trade is focused on local residents. In Turkey, you can buy jewelry, clothing, leather goods. However, many high-quality Turkish goods are already presented in Russian stores and are no more expensive than in Turkey itself. Therefore, you should not take them home from vacation. For seafood, fruits and oriental sweets, it is better to go to the market. Moreover, a few hours before closing, when prices are minimal. For such purchases, stock up on Turkish lira.

5. Excursions.
Additional savings are obtained when buying excursions not in hotels, but in excursion bureaus right on the street. In the resort areas there are many small shops selling a variety of excursions. Here you will be offered more varied excursions than in hotels, moreover, the price will be significantly lower.
