Cardiff

The city is the capital of Wales, a small country with amazing nature and rich cultural and historical heritage. Even 100 years ago it was the center of the coal industry, a noisy cargo port. Now it is a beautiful city where history and modernity are harmoniously combined: victorian houses and new skyscrapers, an ultra-modern stadium and medieval castles.

Some facts about the city
The young European capital attracts tourists with its cozy streets with colorful, as if fabulous houses, noisy restaurants, a huge number of parks, a light cheerful atmosphere that literally soaked the air of the city, affordable prices. Cardiff is home to one of the largest universities in the UK, so the city is filled with a fun crowd of students.
In addition to English, many locals speak the ancient Welsh language, which is difficult to pronounce and unlike others. All city signs are duplicated on it. It is assumed that it was the Welsh, not the English, who were the first real Britons, and they themselves are absolutely sure of this.
The currency of the city is the British pound sterling, the best exchange rate is offered in banks.
Transport

You can get to Cardiff by any means of transport: by plane or by train, by bus or by car. The railway passes very close to the city center and its attractions, which is very convenient for guests of the capital. The cheapest form of transport is buses that run both in Cardiff itself and its suburbs, as well as make regular flights to London, Newcastle, Rosslare (Ireland) and other cities.
It is very easy to rent a car in the UK. For example, at Heathrow Airport you can rent a car from 15 euros per day, and in Manchester - from 17 euros per day. But it should be noted that some central streets are closed to cars, and it is also quite difficult to find free parking in the center. The most convenient ways to get around the city are on foot or by bike, as all the main attractions are compactly located.
Climate

The weather here is very mild: it is not too hot in summer (the average temperature reaches 16 degrees), there are no frosts in winter, snow falls very rarely. But, as in the whole of the UK, it is completely unpredictable and can change several times a day, so an umbrella will not hurt, even if the bright sun shines in the morning. The best time to visit the city is summer.
